FUNDRAISING EVENTS
The Aschiana Foundation is most appreciative to the generosity of many, especially to the Ambassadors of Japan, India, Germany, France and the United Kingdom who have hosted events to showcase Aschiana’s work in providing literacy and food to working street children in Afghanistan.

His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan Ichiro Fujisaki and Mrs. Yoriko Fujisaki hosted an evening reception for the Aschiana Foundation to benefit working street children of Afghanistan. His Excellency the Ambassador of Afghanistan Said Tayeb Jawad and Mrs. Shamin Jawad were honorary patrons. The Honorary Host Committee included the Honorable Madeleine K. Albright, His Excellency the Ambassador of Germany and Mrs. Scharioth, His Excellency the Ambassador of France, Pierre Vimont, His Excellency the British Ambassador Sir Nigel Sheinwald and Lady Sheinwald, Her Excellency the Ambassador of India Meera Shankar, Congressman Earl Blumenauer, Congresswoman Nita M. Lowey, Congressman and Mrs. Todd Tiahrt, Congressman Christopher Van Hollen, Congressman Frank R. Wolf, and former Congressman Charles Wilson.
